Started off from my house about 8am this morning. Had a group of about 18 fellow bikers, family and friends to see me off. Appreciated the good time of prayer before leaving. Burned up my GPS cord before I even got out the driveway. Thanks, Scott Haven and Gary Putman for rigging up a new one. Twelve guys rode with me to Sisters where we stopped for lunch, then half started back and the other half rode on to Bend. They sent me on my way and now I'm in French Glen, right in the middle of a thunder and lightening storm. Whooee!! It's loud!! Lots of black rain clouds headed my way. If it starts to rain I'm going to jump in my tent. (Dee had to hang up in the middle of the phone call because his tent was blowing away!)
Bike ran well today. The mosquitos are THICK! Clouds of them! Didn't realize until now they were biting me through my shirt. I must have a million bites on my back. Ahhhh! Scratchin' on a juniper limb helps! Haven't had any near-death experiences. Looking forward to sleeping well tonight.
